Wax wings

Jealous wings carry jealous dreams

well below the earths’ surface

An idol tall must surely fall

for this, is because of that

No longer needed paradise dreams

for I fear death no more

A book of laws bound in flaw

     simply fills up space

Gorgeous first line. And I like your internal rhyme scheme– it’s subtle and yet adds to the rhythm of the piece overall. There’s a lot of depth alluded to here in very few lines. Nice.
It’s been too long since I’ve been by.
