A true act of nonviolence

October 7, 2010

Ticking near, time does move slow

As eyes lax upon rising smoke below

The spinning shapes boldly move ever too close

As vine-like hands seduce dread to let go

As light gives way, what shall waver

Of this solid ego, this shattered proof

Oh womb of darkness, grant me your favor

       Welcome, with wailing,  indestructible truth

What a powerful poem masquerading in simple words!

Wonderful imagery, wonderful internal landscape made plain.

  6. Welcome, with wailing… yes, this took a couple of readings, which is not a bad thing. It means there was so much detail in this short poem, rich language. I liked it.

I have no clue, but to me it seems the act of nonviolence…is the final release of death. Well written, Warrior.
