We are not equations

September 4, 2010

In addition, it is black or white

There are no perspectives or transformations

The problem must be answered

And it can only be wrong or right

In addition to our experience, we add confusion

When the moment is clear, open and wonderous

We become  mathmaticians, desparately searching for a proof

In addition to all the labels and judgements

We are the sound of water and wind

In addition to how we look and feel

we cannot be bound and are the lanterns of reality

I came here to read your breakthrough poem, but then I saw the title of this one in the sidebar, and I was intrigued. I identify with this poem, as a teacher who likes both math and poetry; this really spoke to me. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
