dancing Empty

August 24, 2010

You placed the bars and mortared in the bricks yourself
Decorated the walls just to keep from knowing you’re sick
The cell door is unlocked but you pretend not to know

Push open that door, step into the unknown……
where you can dance Empty

Well hell is here in this fire that you stoke
You’re homophobic, rascist hatred are just crooked arrows
Why not let go the sword and step into Empty

Push open that door, step into the unknown….
don’t you see ’em dancing so free?

You swing your hammer across my brow, but it never seems to land
Some say to walk away and rescind my open hand
But I made a promise, so together we’ll leave

We’ll push open that door, step into the unknown
where we can dance Empty.
